Stage C

Session abstract:

In today’s start-up oriented world, clients tend to expect quick results despite being limited with low budgets. Not fully understanding the process, they expect to go straight from their sketched idea to development, making developers be alfa and omega of the entire project lifecycle. On mention of user experience design, they usually dismiss it as an unnecessary budget eater.

In this talk, I will go through why a good and thought-through user experience is important, what it all includes, and how your project will probably fail without it. I’ll cover the process from business analysis to final visual prototype, trying to answer basic questions along the way - What makes a UX design? What makes you a UX designer?

When talking about user experience, we must always be aware of different platforms and their possibilities. Clients are still oriented towards iOS first development which often leads into misconception that one design will cover both platforms and it is you job to discourage your clients from insisting on just coping iOS design to Android.
